Immerse yourself in history and learn about our forefather’s history.

Windmill Walk
Stretch your legs and enjoy a quiet riverside walk admiring the beautiful trees and a variety of windmills.

The Hitchen House
Home of the Hitchen Brothers who initiated the 1915 Cooee March. Many displays of memorabilia from WW1, WW2 and Vietnam.

Rural Museum
Walk back into the past, through a comprehensive display of agriculture artefacts, historical buildings and intriguing stories about the men and women who tamed the land.

Orana Cactus World
An amazing range of cacti collected over 40 years from around the world.

Native Flora Reserve
Over 8 hectares of native bushland with easy walking tracks. Stunning flower displays from August to November.

District Sightseeing

Warrumbungle Range National Park
Enjoy the scenic route to the Warrumgungles with a visit to Siding Springs Observatory (http://rsaa.anu.edu.au/observatories/siding-spring-observatory).

Hickey Falls
Enjoy a picnic adjacent to the falls.

Narromine
Visit the Aviation Museum with a replica of the Wright Brothers “Wright Flyer”. If travelling spring drop into the Iris farm and enjoy the gardens.

Dubbo
A short drive will find you at Western Plains Zoo where you can get up close to the animals. Also visit the Old Dubbo Gaol.
